The 13th Central China Investment and Trade Expo with the theme of "Open Innovation, Rise of Central China" was held in Changsha, Hunan from May 31st to June 2nd. Mr. Orlando, the CEO of GONVVAMA, was invited to attend the event as a representative of multinational companies. Not only did he deliver a speech at the multinational company roundtable, but he also actively participated in the matchmaking meeting for cooperation and development between multinational companies and Hunan, as well as the promotion meeting for investment in Central China, demonstrating his high attention and positive attitude towards the development of the central region.
At the multinational company roundtable, Mao Weiming, the Deputy Secretary of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee and the Governor, along with representatives of more than seventy multinational companies and overseas economic and trade delegations, attended the event. The activity was presided over by Cao Zhiqiang, the Deputy Governor of Hunan Province, and Qu Hai, the Secretary General of the Provincial Government, also participated.
Mr. Orlando spoke on behalf of the multinational companies, expressing not only recognition of the development in Hunan but also showcasing GONVVAMA’s firm confidence in the central region and the Chinese market. In his speech, Mr. Orlando specifically mentioned the deep connection between ArcelorMittal and Hunan. He emphasized that as one of the earliest multinational companies to invest in Hunan, ArcelorMittal has been engaged in extensive business exchanges with Hunan since 2005. Over the years, the senior management of both sides have frequently visited each other, exploring cooperation opportunities and pushing forward the development of their relationship. Mr. Orlando also stated that ArcelorMittal has been committed to continuous improvement in technology, innovation, sustainability, and operations. It is with these advantages that VAMA and GONVVAMA have achieved rapid development in China and made significant contributions to the creation of a globally competitive automobile industry cluster in Hunan.
Looking to the future, Mr. Orlando expressed the desire to strengthen close cooperation. He believes that with the guidance and assistance of the local government in Hunan, both sides can share opportunities, seek development, and achieve more brilliant achievements. He looks forward to deeper cooperation with Hunan, collectively promoting high-quality economic development.
