New Line, New Journey | GONVVAMA Chongqing Plant Produces Its First Door Ring Blank

2026-10-23

On October 22, GONVVAMA’s Chongqing plant held a ceremony to mark the production of its first door ring blank, witnessing the successful trial production and launch of this new product.

Since commencing operations in 2017, the Chongqing plant has grown steadily. By 2025, it had established mature production lines for blanking, laser cutting, ablation, and laser-welded blanks. In 2026, the plant continues to expand its capacity layout. Alongside the successful launch of the new door ring product, construction of a laser blanking production line is progressing in parallel. On the vibrant automotive industry landscape of Southwest China, GONVVAMA’s “steel blossoms” continue to flourish.

The successful production of the first door ring blank represents an important milestone in the Chongqing plant’s high-quality development. Once this laser-welded door ring line enters full production, it will further enrich GONVVAMA’s product portfolio, provide customers with more lightweighting solutions, and strengthen local supply support in the Southwest region.

Throughout the entire process of line setup and commissioning, the Chongqing plant strictly followed the group’s unified process standards and quality control system, ensuring consistent quality from trial production through to mass production. Leveraging years of accumulated expertise in laser welding and ablation processes, the plant guarantees the structural safety and performance stability of door ring products, supporting customers’ body-in-white lightweighting projects.

In addition to the door ring line, the Chongqing plant is scheduled to complete its laser blanking production line later this year. These two new lines, combined with existing mature production capabilities, will create a more complete and flexible processing portfolio. Order response speed will be further improved, enabling the plant to better meet automotive customers’ needs for rapid model iterations and multi-variety customization, while flexible capacity supports diverse project planning.

Anchored in the Southwest China automotive industry cluster, the Chongqing plant will continue to stabilize quality, increase capacity, and pursue innovation, deepening its commitment to the lightweight body sector through solid production management and professional technical services. Leveraging GONVVAMA’s nationwide four-plant network, the Chongqing base will continue to unlock growth momentum, working hand in hand with Southwest customers through localized, efficient, and flexible supply capabilities to embark on a new journey of body lightweighting upgrades.
